Editorial policy

United for Football Justice publishes information about sporting fairness, institutional transparency, and the independence of disciplinary procedures in football. Before demanding transparency from sporting institutions, the movement holds itself to that same standard.

This policy describes how every piece of content is produced, labelled, verified, and corrected on this site, across its three publishing languages (French, English, Spanish).

Every published news item carries one of the following labels, shown directly on the page: News, Update, Editorial, Official statement, or Movement update. Every article carries one of the following labels: Explainer, Opinion, or Practical guide.

An opinion is always attributed to its author and presented as such; it is never confused with an established fact. An analysis explains a mechanism without taking a side.

Every publication also carries a verification status: "Verified" or "Being verified". "Verified" means the information rests on a cited or checkable source. "Being verified" means the item remains to be confirmed and is presented as such, never as an established fact.

A "Verified" badge is never applied without justification: it does not reflect an editorial belief, but the actual existence of a documented source.

• An accusation against a person or organisation without a documented, verifiable standard of proof.
• A fabricated or exaggerated number of views, comments, shares, or reactions.
• An invented source or a quote wrongly attributed.
• An image or third-party content used without a clear right of use.
• Demonstration or placeholder content presented as real information.

The movement may relay, in a distinct section labelled "Global football watch", information from official external sources or recognised media outlets. Every relayed item visibly states the source's name, the original date, the original language, and a direct link to the original publication.

External content is never republished in full. Only a title, a short authorised summary, a date, a canonical link, and, where rights allow, an image are reproduced. No source is added to this watch without a prior review of its terms of use.

Every content page includes a "Report an error or information to verify" link, which routes the report directly to the editorial team.

Any correction made following a substantiated report is public and dated: when the update date differs from the original publication date, both are shown.

An artificial-intelligence-based conversational assistant is offered on the site for informational purposes, drawing on content actually published by the movement. It does not constitute legal advice and does not replace an official source.

When the assistant is unavailable, the site states this clearly rather than simulating a response. No AI-generated content is presented as a verified source of information in itself.

This editorial policy will continue to be refined as the editorial team is built out. Any substantial change will be announced in the site's News section.
