Moderation policy

How we handle contributions submitted by supporters (discussions, comments, testimonials).

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to any contribution submitted through the site's forms: a proposed message in the Discussions space, the contact form, the join form, and the newsletter sign-up.

It does not apply to the movement's editorial content (news, articles, timeline), which is covered by the editorial policy.

2. Review process

No contribution is published automatically. Every submitted message is first recorded with a "New" status, then reviewed by the editorial team, which approves or declines it before any public publication.

This same principle of prior human review applies to the external news watch: automatically imported content is never published without editorial validation, except for an official source explicitly configured to allow it — a configuration no current source uses.

3. Acceptance criteria

  • A contribution relevant to the proposed discussion topic.
  • Respectful disagreement with a sporting decision, an institutional policy, or an opinion expressed on the site.
  • A testimonial or personal experience presented as such.

4. Declined content

The following contributions are systematically declined:

  • Personal attacks, harassment, hateful or discriminatory language toward a person or group.
  • Unproven accusations against a named individual, team, or organisation.
  • Clearly false or misleading information.
  • Commercial, promotional, or advertising content unrelated to the movement.
  • Disclosure of a third party's personal contact details without their consent.
  • Illegal content or content inciting an illegal act.

5. Reporting content

Anyone can report published content they consider inappropriate by writing to the editorial team via the Contact page, under the "Report information" category.

6. Processing timelines

The moderation team processes contributions as promptly as possible, with no fixed turnaround guaranteed at this stage. This policy will be expanded with precise timelines as the team is built out.

7. Contesting a decision

Anyone whose contribution was declined can request an explanation or contest the decision by writing to the editorial team via the Contact page.
